Dr. Charles S. Brown

   Dr. Charles S. Brown, a 42 year area resident, died Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY. He was 85 years of age.

    The son of the late Gilbert and Lee Rothandler Brown, he was born on February 12, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY.

   Dr. Brown was a Doctor of Chiropractic with an office in Montgomery, NY.  He proudly served his country as a Medic in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the New York State Chiropractic Association, the American Chiropractic Association and was honored by the Chiropractic Association for over 50 years of service. Dr. Brown was also an Examiner for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and a member of Temple Sinai in Middletown. He was a former Dodgers fan and currently an avid Mets fan. Dr. Brown enjoyed music and jazz, antiques and his auction friends.

    Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Sharon A. Brown at home in Thompson Ridge; his daughter, Dr. Suzanne Brown Berkowitz and her husband Jack of Warwick; his grandsons, Bryant and Adam Berkowitz and his grand dog Mickey.

    Funeral services will be held a 1 PM Tuesday, May 22nd at Temple Sinai, 75 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY. Rabbi Marcus Rubenstein will officiate. Interment will be in Temple Sinai Cemetery, Circleville, NY.

    Memorial contributions may be made in Charles’ name to Temple Sinai, 75 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY 10940 to purchase a Yahrzeit Plaque or to the Pine Bush Area Public Library, 227 Maple Ave., Pine Bush, NY 12566.
