Paul Gerald Markoff

    Paul Gerald Markoff, a lifelong area resident, died Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the Northern Metropolitan Residential Healthcare Facility in Monsey, NY. He was 70 years of age.

    The son of Faye Markoff and the late Irving Markoff, he was born on August 5, 1947 in Yonkers, NY.

    Paul was a New York State Licensed Optician. He was a member of the New York State Society of Dispensing Opticians and was very active in Scouting for over 20 years and was a Commissioner for the Boy Scouts of America with the New Windsor Troop.

    Survivors include his wife, Richa Markoff at home in Newburgh; his children, Joshua M. Markoff, David I. Markoff and Stacey B. Markoff all of Newburgh; his mother, Faye Markoff of Middletown; his brother Allan E. Markoff and his wife Nancy of Goshen; his sister Sindi B. Kaplan and husband Josh of NY, NY;  and several nieces & nephews. Paul was predeceased by his father, Irving Markoff.

    Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 (today) in Temple Sinai, 75 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY. Rabbi Marcus Rubenstein will officiate. Interment will follow in the Temple Sinai Cemetery, Circleville, NY.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY.
