Florence M. DuBois

Florence M. DuBois, a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Middletown Park in the Town of Wallkill, NY. She was 90 years of age.

The daughter of the late William T. and Marie Heuschkel Seymour, she was born on December 19, 1926 in Otisville, NY.

Florence was a legal secretary for the MacVean, Lewis, Sherwin and McDermott Law Office in Middletown. Florence was a member of the Holy Name Church in Otisville, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Floyd Carter Post # 1079 of the American Legion where she served as treasurer for 35 years. She was a member of the Country Garden Club of Otisville, the Mt. Hope Senior Citizens, Otisville Country Line Dancers and was former treasurer of the Otisville Little League.

Survivors include her daughter, Regina M. DuBois of Albany, NY; her son Carl E. DuBois and his wife Barbara of Otisville; her grandsons, Austin F. DuBois and his fiance Lauren Capul of Newburgh and Griffin C. DuBois of Astoria, NY; her great grandson Colden Fitzgerald DuBois; her sister Patricia A. Wilbur of The Villages, FL; several nieces & nephews and one cousin. Florence was predeceased by her husband Carl W. DuBois, her brother William T. Seymour, and sister Marie E. Littner.

Family and friends may call at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY on Sunday, February 19th from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 AM Monday, February 20th at the Holy Name Church, 45 Highland Ave., Otisville, NY. The Reverend Michael Palazzo will officiate. Interment will follow in the Holy Name Cemetery.
