Daniel J. Osborne Sr.

Daniel J. Osborne Sr., a lifelong area resident, entered into rest on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill, NY. He was 64 years of age.

    The son of the late William Herbert and Kathryn Osborne, he was born on July 11, 1953 in Middletown, NY.

    Dan retired as a skilled laborer from the City of Middletown Department of Public Works. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Middletown. Dan was a former member of the Waalkill Engine Co. #6 in Middletown, and a member of the Howells Fire Company where he served as a driver. He belonged to the Morton Hill Hunting Club in Roscoe and the Howells Game Club in Howells. He was treasurer of the CSEA Local No. 836 of Middletown and was an avid golfer and former avid Bowler at Middletown Lanes.

    Survivors include his wife, MaryAnn Osborne at home in Milford, PA; his sons, Daniel J. Osborne Jr. and his companion Tammy Schultz of Mt. Hope, and Michael E. Osborne and his wife Andrea of Mt. Hope; his grandchildren, Daniel G., Sean, Connor, Johnny and Kailee Osborne; his brothers and sisters, Pat Osborne and his wife Mary of Middletown, James Osborne and his wife Marie of Milford, PA, Kathy Osborne and Vicky Sexton of Tallahassee, FL, Larry Osborne and his wife Claudia of Deltona, FL, Ann Walters and Terry Long of Crystal River, FL, Sue Sanchez of Middletown, Chris Osborne of Davie, FL, Eileen Osborne of Middletown, Elizabeth Torres of Middletown and Mark Osborne and his wife Julie of Middletown; numerous Nieces & Nephews; sister-in-law Debbie and husband Ron and sister-in-law Phyllis and husband David;  his beloved beagle Speckles.

  Visitation will be held from 2-6 PM Thursday, October 26th at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY. Howells Fire Company will conduct services at 6 PM. Cremation will take place at the Cedar Hill Crematory, Newburgh, NY.

     Memorial contributions in Dan’s name may be made to the Howells Fire Company, P.O. Box 115, Howells, NY 10932.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, Middletown, NY.
