Brunilda Soto

     Brunilda Soto, a 5 year area resident and formerly of Brooklyn, NY, entered into rest on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Valley View Center in Goshen, NY. She was 87 years of age.

    The daughter of the late Juan and Elisa Ayala Rodriguez, she was born on August 8, 1929 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

    Brunilda was a retired seamstress and had worked in the garment industry in Brooklyn.

    Survivors include her children, Jose Mendez and his wife Irma of Westtown, NY, Marilyn Marquez and her husband Delby of Middletown, and William Soto and his wife Mirinda of Brooklyn; her grandchildren, Jose Mendez Jr., Kiesha Mendez, David Livingston and Melissa Thurston; her great grandchildren, Austin, Logan, Conner, Jalen, Chase, Saniyya and Marcus. Brunilda was predeceased by her husband, Agapito Soto and a brother and sister.

    Family and friends may call at the Cornelius, Dodd & Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St., Middletown, NY on Monday, June 12th from 4-6 PM where services will begin at 6 PM. Cremation will take place at the Cedar Hill Crematory in Newburgh, NY.
